Romantic Proposal in St Andrews Followed by Engagement Shoot
St Andrews is a cracking city town tucked away in the north(ish) east coast of Scotland. It’s an area that has no end of outstanding unusual wedding venues from Cambo House to The Cow Shed. Needless to say, I work in these here parts a lot and never get bored.
However, this was a first for me. A winter proposal. Washington based Tim contacted me a few months back to book me to document his surprise proposal to his long-standing girlfriend, Caitlin. He studied at the University and wanted to make the pilgrimage to St Andrews and make it the place he asked her to marry him. We chatted over Skype and made a plan. Tim settled on the entry way to the Cathedral after going back and forth on a few other options. It was a smashing choice. When they arrived, he dropped to his knee and presented Caitlin a stunning sapphire ring. Be sure to check out the close up shot of their hands. She say…YES.
Over to the lovely Caitlin:
Wow, Carole-Ann is incredible! My now-fiance, Ted, hired her to photograph his proposal to me and also for a surprise engagement shoot immediately afterwards. Carole-Ann went above and beyond. She arrived early, communicated with Ted about what he wanted, scoped out the best spot for the engagement photos, and was so easy to talk to that you can tell Ted and I are totally at ease in the photos.
Everyone is so impressed how unique the photos are and how good they look. Carole-Ann's style is truly unique and was exactly what we wanted. The photos are perfect and I know we'll treasure them for years. If you don't like cookie-cutter posed photos and if you want something with a more natural feel then I highly recommend Harper Scott Photography. She's amazing!
