Colourful Outdoor Wedding at Ardkinglas Estate in Scotland Filled With Colour and Music
Get ready to exhale as I share some incredibly stylish highlights of this elegant outdoor wedding at Ardkinglas Estate. When Rachel and Duncan enquired with me, they wrote that they were hoping to hold their ceremony in ‘the amazing gardens of Ardkinglas House with a big marquee on the lawn, bunting, tons of music (we are musicians), lots of flowers and lots of dancing!’. Indeed, they delivered on this initial description. There was so much to fall in love with about their wedding: Rachel’s dress was ethereal and timeless. The flowers by Flower Mug were spirited, bold and thoroughly in keeping with the woodland surrounds. The energy between Rachel and Duncan was of respect and a deep, boundless love. Perhaps the most striking part of the day were the carefully curated pieces woven throughout their wedding day. It’s hard to explain impact of the recitals. Suffice to say, I’ve never experienced anything quite like it. There was something quite transcendent about their musical choices and this quality was a perfect reflection of Rachel and Duncan.
The other stand out feature of Rachel and Duncan’s colourful summer Scottish wedding was being given the chance to work at Ardkinglas for the first time: it was a dream. What I liked most was that it wasn’t a typical wedding venue. It’s an Estate which hosts a small numbers of weddings per year and as such, felt like it offered Rachel and Duncan a genuinely personal experience. The woodland garden was utterly spectacular and I’m delighted we were able to steal away for portraits before the dancing kicked off.
Be sure to check out upcoming tour dates for the Maxwell String Quartet - I’m hoping to see them soon myself.
