Newborn Photography Session by With Highlight Film
Eden was 13 days old when she had her newborn photo session with me. As much as I love weddings, these newborn shoots hold a special place in my heart. I suspect it’s got something to do with having had three children myself and knowing first hand how quickly these little humans change during their first few weeks on planet earth. It’s as if time speeds us. Anyway, back to Eden and her people. Her parents were keen to have something of her early days captured. They wanted it recorded in a natural and honest way. I’m pretty confident we achieved that. In fact, I’m in love with these photos. They really do capture something of the essence of those hazy opening days of parenthood.
I’m also delighted they added on a short film to their session. Eden’s dad wrote her a song which he wanted to be the track for it. Check out the lyrics:
Here’s some lovely words from Ryan and Christie about their newborn shoot with me:
‘What a photographer and what a photo shoot. We have been to a few weddings now where Harper Scott Photo has been the photographer. We loved the shots from weddings and previous baby shoots.
She goes after "that shot" (the one that makes you wow out loud) unapologetically. That is the biggest compliment we could pay her. Whether it was rearranging furniture or climbing on it to get the best light exposure whilst allowing us to be comfortable, Carole-Ann just gets after it and ensures she gets the shot she knows will matter. From start to finish, we felt totally at ease. It was as if we had one of our close friends round taking pictures.
I have been learning about photography recently and always bend Carole-Ann's ear when we see each other. This time was no different!
We are absolutely delighted with the outcome of our shoot (which flew in!) An absolute master of her craft, Carole-Ann captures the perfect picture. The difference is that she really cares about the outcome whilst listening to what you want, that makes the whole experience effortless and thoroughly enjoyable.’
