Glamorous Scotland Wedding with Editorial Wedding Photography
“We’re on the hunt for a Scotland based editorial wedding photographer who can capture our day in just the way we want (we both work in creative so we’ve got something very specific in mind) and your style is exactly what we’re looking for!” read Grant’s compelling initial enquiry form. On the cusp of being fully booked, Grant and Mimmi became our last booking for the calendar year. It was a belter.
Grant and Mimmi’s vision was classic editorial. Before considering editorial, let’s consider this - if you might think anyone with a camera can capture your wedding photos, think again because shooting a wedding is an art that takes plenty of skill, stamina, creativity, and experience. True editorial wedding photography is next again level. It’s the style you’ll find in the likes of Vogue, Vanity Fair and Tatler - all publications we’ve featured in by the way. Grant and Mimmi wanted their wedding photos to have a curated, magazine-spread-like feel. They were looking for editorial wedding photography. Understandably, they wanted minimal interference to the flow of their day. They, like all of our couples, wanted to “be in the moment and enjoy the day”. Their final gallery would have an obvious fashion influence. For us, an editorial photography style encompasses creatively compelling, visually driven, and narrative-rich images - creating meaningful and beautiful photographs requires time, trust, and preparation. Grant, Mimmi and I collaborated on their creative deck in advance to ensure we could nail the photography style they were after.
Needless to say, we smashed the brief.
Grant and Mimmi’s 5* Review
“From day 1 Carole-Ann was an absolute pleasure to work with. The amount of effort she put in it getting to know us, our style and what we wanted was incredible. Carole-Ann spent two days with us at our wedding and was almost like one of the guests by the end - she integrated herself perfectly in our celebrations, got to know each and everyone one of our guests and somehow managed to never be in the way or too noticed at key points. We had so much fun with her that our guests were literally queuing up to get photographed by her at more than one point, which added such a special and fun touch to our wedding. Her photography and ability to capture the vibe, the space and everyone’s personalities are absolutely amazing.”
